A Restaurant Reborn and a Garden that Needs Angels

1. A person could get fat in this town! Ready to cut the ribbon on another restaurant? The San Juan Capistrano Chamber of Commerce will welcome Fiano’s Restaurant & Bar to the Franciscan Plaza, 31781 Camino Capistrano No. 201. According to the eatery’s Facebook page, Fiano is an Italian white wine grape. But you may recognize the place as the old Vito’s.

2. Calling all angels: The Los Rios Garden Angels are looking for more volunteers. If you’d like to volunteer, bring your gloves ,clippers and a smile to the Los Rios Park in San Juan Capistrano and join the Garden Angels. They meet inside the park by the Montanez adobe every Thursday from 8:30-10:30 a.m. Must be 18 years and older. Call (949) 606-6386 for more details.

3. Everything’s normal: No one’s attacking. Camp Pendleton will train with explosives from 6 a.m. to midnight through Friday. Booms may be heard up to 50 miles away
