Breakfast, a Big Band, a School that Needs Help and More

Keeping tabs on all the happenings in San Juan Capistrano.

1. Breakfast with 40 of your best friends: The San Juan Capistrano Chamber of Commerce has its monthly breakfast meeting from 7:30-9:30 a.m. at the Vintage Steakhouse. Cost is $15 members and $25 potential members.

2. Montego, baby why don't we go: Montego  Restaurant has Undercover Live playing tonight.   Check out all the month’s lineup here.

3. A call for help: Have some extra time on your hand and would love to make a teacher happy? Our first and second grade teachers would love some assistance in preparing the take home decodable books for students.  The books come pre-printed, but not assembled and stapled.  This job can be done at school, or be taken home.  Please email Principal Eric Gruenewald if you are willing to lend a hand.  (eagruenewald@capousd.org)

4. Crazy day alert: Today is Another Look Unlimited Day. Yeah, we didn’t know what that meant until we looked it up. What they’re asking (whoever THEY are!) is that as you sort things you want to get rid of, consider what you could recycle or give away. With that in mind, we found this nifty item on Craigslist freebies listings. Any skateboarders out there?

5. Patch read of the day: Foie Gras Ban Upheld, a San Clemente Chef Reacts
