Family Classic Cars Is ‘Presenting Sponsor’ of Feb. 2 Rotary/CARE Car Show

Family Classic Cars of San Juan Capistrano has been named “Presenting Sponsor” of the 10th Annual
Rotary/CARE Car Show, scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (rain date Feb. 9), at San

Juan Capistrano Community Center/Sports Park, 25925 Camino del Avion.

In making the announcement, Richard Hill Adams, past president of the Rotary Club of San Juan Capistrano, lauded Marc Spizzirri, Family Classic Cars’ founder, for his long-time support, beginning with the show’s inaugural edition in 2004.

“Spizzirri has become the “experts’ expert” in the classic car industry and Family Classic Cars has gained worldwide recognition for its unique garage of vintage cars, classics, hot rods, muscle cars and exotics,” said Adams. The company will again be showing selected models from its 40,000 square foot facility of rare automobiles, he
added.

Car Show Committee Chairman Paul Fulbright praised the commitment by Family Classic Cars: “We appreciate Marc Spizzirri’s ongoing support of the show and look forward to
having his cars on display. Congratulations to Richard for arranging for the company’s participation at this level.”

Unique among car shows for its grass field and timing (the first show of the year in Orange County), and likely the number of dogs attending as well, the event will again include the latest new models from many of the area dealers, including the seven Capistrano Auto Center dealerships.

More than 1,500 people are expected to attend the show, where more than 400 cars, trucks and specialty
vehicles will be displayed, along with merchandise for car-enthusiasts, an extensive food court featuring local favorite Las Golondrinas, music, entertainment, including the high-flying Disc Dogs demo team, plus fabulous
prizes. Contributing to the festive surroundings, a number of car owners and guests bring their dogs, which must be well-behaved and leashed.

The Rotary/CARE outing generates funds for San Juan Capistrano Rotary Club charities and programs for local kids, Marine Corps families, and others, as well as Capistrano Animal Rescue Effort’s (CARE) support of animal rescue-related activities and organizations.

A popular companion event, the 5th Annual Dr. Joe Cortese Memorial Motorcycle Poker Run, brings
together riders to enjoy a fun day, play for a winning poker hand and also experience the show. This year’s ride will start with check-in from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Orange
County Harley-Davidson
, 8677 Research Dr. in Irvine, and finish at the Car Show. Admission to the Show is included in the entry fee: $30 for rider, $20 for passenger by Jan. 26; after that or at the gate, $35 and $25 (incl. show
admission).

The vehicle entry fee is $35 each by Jan. 26, 2013; $40 each after Jan. 26 or at the gate (each includes 2 admissions). Guest admission is: $5 Adult, $2 children (11-17 years); kids under 11 free.

Online registration is now open for both events. For further information, visit www.sjcrotary.org/carshow, email drcaroldds@cox.net, or call 949-661-3594. Follow on Facebook at www.facebook.com/sjcrotarycarshow.
