Superintendent Sherry Worel and Jill Winterhalter, third-grade teacher, accepted the Blue Ribbon plaque and flag on behalf of Stoneybrooke Christian Schools in a ceremony at the Department of Education in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, Nov. 13.
Anre Duncan, Secretary of Education was the featured speaker at the ceremony.
Stoneybrooke was one of only two private schools in the state of California to receive this award and one of only 50 private schools nationwide.
