Del Obispo Street Bridge to Shrink Tonight

A lane on the Del Obispot Street bridge will be closed to traffic, starting this evening at 9 and lasting until 5 a.m. Tuesday, the city reported.

The contractor, Peter Chase, will be working on the installation of a new joint seal between the old and new bridge, according to an email from the city.

During the work hours, one lane in the eastbound direction and two lanes in the westbound direction will be closed.

"The contractor will make every effort to complete all of the work tonight. If work is not completed tonight, the remaining work will be completed the following evening," says the email.
