The connection, said O.C. library branch manager Teri Garza, is “that the library houses and provides materials and 'treasures' to entertain and enrich peoples' lives.” Night of the Arts was thus born, with the library serving as the venue for live and silent auctions, music and food.

The event will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday to benefit the San Juan Capistrano Friends of the Library.  Tickets are $50 each. Money raised will help the Friends continue refurbishing the library and will help support funding for books and programs that have been hurt by Orange County Public Library system budget cuts.
