Community Corner

No. 4: Concerts

If music has the power to unite, San Juan Capistrano residents should be practically inseparable, thanks to the city's abundance of concerts.

Each year, the community comes together for Music Under the Stars at Mission San Juan Capistrano, the Multicultural Arts Series at the San Juan Capistrano Library and San Juan Summer Nights at Town Center Park.

It’s all about new music and old favorites, dancing, meeting friends and making acquaintances.  The concerts are free or reasonably priced.

At the Mission, there’s something for everyone, from Battle of the Mariachis to tribute bands inspired by Santana, The Eagles and Neil Diamond.  The Mission's June 25 concert highlights Motown, Soul and R&B.

The library brings a range of multicultural groups to the La Sala auditorium from November to April and outdoors in the courtyard from May through October.  Acoustic guitarists, and South American and Celtic music have all been on past playbills.

San Juan Summer Nights encourages picnics and dancing, and features local vendor booths and local bands.  The June 15 concert will feature a Steely Dan Tribute Band.

We love San Juan Capistrano for concerts that enrich and bring enjoyment and energy to town.
