San Juan Capistrano Regional Library hosts the ninth annual Day of the Dead event.

"It is a day to show respect to the dead, to those who have passed on," says Emilio Ramos who brought his children to take part in the celebration.

It is a tradition for people to visit the cemetery to leave bread, wine or tequila at the graves of loved ones as an offering of respect, Ramos explains.

The artwork of Art Guevara was on display in the library. Volunteers from the National Charity League hosted arts and crafts projects in the coutyard.
