VIDEO: The 4th in San Juan Capistrano

The sights and sounds of the city's annual tradition circa 2012.

"God bless you. God bless America. And God bless the city of San Juan Capistrano."

With those words, Mayor Larry Kramer ushered in another spectacular fireworks show.

Except this time, the city didn't foot the bill.

In fact, the annual tradition at the would have never happened if not for a number of businesses who stepped up to put on the $30,000 show .

But other than a couple of extra shout-outs to the sponsors, the traditions continued as usual.

Beer garden? Check.

Barbecued corn on the cob? Check.

Picnic blankets? Check.

Coats, scarves and gloves? Check.

Although those last items aren't standard issue for this time of year, they were definitely needed for a chilly, cloudy day.

Still, the weather couldn't damper the spirits of members of the community.
