PHOTOS: Relay for Life, San Juan Capistrano

They were walking, jogging and running to celebrate survivors and/or honor friends and family they’ve lost to cancer at Saturday's Relay for Life in San Juan Capistrano.  

As many 500 participants will come between Saturday and today, said event Co-Chair Lara Fisher.

Today's participants include San Juan Capistrano Mayor Pro Tem Larry Kramer with his wife Chris, who came to celebrate her successful fight with cancer 17 years ago. And Karyn Schumaker who has been active in Relay for Life for 11 years brought her niece, 7-year-old Kate Sadayasu, who has been participating for all seven years of her life.

The day was filled with different activities for everyone such as bounce houses for the kids, a blacksmith making horse shoes as requested and bubble rollers.
