Revving Up for Oktoberfest

The two-day event kicks off Oct. 13 and continues Oct. 14.

There will be a lot more bodies in the downtown, and we're not talking Zombies!

At 9:00 a.m. Saturday, the Campbell Recreation Department kicks off the 4th Annual Oktoberfest 5K at Campbell Park.

Last year's event attracted nearly 500 participants, so be aware of potential traffic in the area.

Reward yourself for the early-morning excercise with the Campbell Chamber of Commerce's 18th Annual Oktoberfest Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Brats, beer and live music await but so does parking. Make sure to find a spot at either end of downtown in the First and Second Street Parking garages or one of the open lots along Orchard City Drive. The lightrail is also a a good alternative since it has a stop in downtown.

Admission is free, but please leave the pets at home as it gets loud and crowded (service animals are OK).
