It’s getting closer, the big night when you’re not supposed to see Santa. Until then, the jolly guy wants you to see him. So here are the Santa sightings in San Juan Capistrano.
Dec. 15: OK, so it’s not Mr. Claus himself, but the good wife Mrs. Claus will be making a visit at noon at Zoomars Petting Zoo.
Dec. 15: The Metrolink Holiday Toy Express Train will stop at the Capistrano Depot, Verdugo/Los Rios Street, at 6:45 p.m. A holiday show, lots of lights, and Santa Claus will arrive to perform and collect new, unwrapped toys for the ABC7 and Southland firefighters’ "Spark of Love Toy Drive."
Now-Dec. 23: The city's Community Services Department is taking reservations for the popular "Santa Makes House Calls" program. Visits must be booked one week in advance and are open to folks in San Juan Capistrano, Capistrano Beach, Dana Point, San Clemente, Talega, Forster Ranch and Laguna Niguel.
Santa is available for 15, 30, 45 or 60-minute visits through Dec. 23. Christmas Eve visits are double the rates and subject to availability. Costs vary depending on length and residency. All Santas have been fingerprinted and have passed a mandatory background check with the Department of Justice. Registration is available at the San Juan Capistrano Community Center, 25925 Camino del Avion or by phone at 949-493-5911.
If you know Santa is headed to town somewhere, let us know in the comments, and we will add it to the list!
