Watch: Six Sea Lion Pups Released Back Into the Ocean

While a record numbers of sick sea lions have cropped up on Orange County beaches this year, this YouTube clip shows what the Pacific Marine Mammal Center in Laguna Beach staff is always ultimately working to achieve: The day when the pinnipeds they rehabilitate are healthy enough to be released back into the big blue ocean.

This past Friday, a crew from the PMMC had one of their largest simultaneous sea lion releases ever -- six (count 'em!), a number that's clearly a reflection of the center's current population boom.
