WATCH: Whirling, Twirling Whale off Capo Beach

This gray whale performed some pretty fancy stunts on Monday off the coastline, according to one whale-watching company.

Apparently, ballerinas aren't the only ones who can whirl and twirl.

This gray whale – about 25 feet long – was acting much like a Prima ballerina while playing off the waters of Capistrano Beach on Monday, according to Donna Kalez of Dana Wharf Sportfishing and Whale Watching.

"The whale was spy hopping and twirling through the water while white-sided dolphins rode its wake," she said. "I know we say this a lot, but it's true we have NEVER, EVER seen this behavior. Have you?"

"It was was only 15 seconds long," she said. "People just love watching these videos."
