A Midsummer Night's Scheme

What if William Shakespeare was just a front for a conglomerate of consultants, authors and aristocrats? That's the premise behind the Camino Real Playhouse's latest production, "Shakespeare Inc."

In Shakespeare Inc., the Bard never writes all the works attributed to him. He's merely a front for a group of Elizabethan authors, aristocrats and consultants who can't use their real names.

Described as "a tale of ambition, jealousy and suspicion," Shakespeare Inc. kicks off Caposhakes, San Juan Capistrano's annual summer Shakespeare festival, sponsored by .

Performances are scheduled for Sunday at 2 p.m., Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m., and July 17 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15.
