Benefit Concert for VSA Orange County

The San Juan Hills High School Music Department will host a benefit concert with the Orange County site of VSA California, the state organization on arts and disability. Admission is free. There will be a raffle and silent auction. An original work titled “Freddy” by the legendary Red Skelton will be up for auction. 

The high school’s full orchestra, under the direction of  will perform music from Pirates of the Carribean, Lord of the Rings, and the original version of March to the Scaffold from Hector Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique. The San Juan Hills Chamber Choir, directed by Victor De La Cruz will also perform. The Braille Institute’s Johnny Mercer Choir, directed by Marleena Coulston-Barber, will represent VSA. The concert will conclude with a collaborative work by all three groups to show the collective strengths of arts students as they all work together.

VSA Orange County, part of a national organization on arts and disability, make the arts accessible to people of all abilities through providing arts, education and cultural opportunities by, with, and for people with disabilities.
