Preview the Oscars, Take a Sneak Peek at a Remodeled Movie Theater

The people behind the West Coast Film Festival offer another opportunity to celebrate the movies.

Do you just live for the Oscars? Or maybe you just want to check out the new-and-improved Regency Niguel 8 theaters in Laguna Niguel?

You can scratch both those itches with a special Oscars preview party on Sunday, hosted by San Juan Capistrano filmmakers Robert Kline and Stephanie Heredia.

The event in the past has been held at the San Juan Capistrano Library, but this year, they wanted to check out the new digs at the long-renovating Regency in Laguna Niguel.

The couple, who’ve produced a number of films and documentaries, also hosts the annual West Coast Film Festival in San Juan Capistrano.

The event kicks off at 5:30 p.m., when you check out the new wine bar. There will be no-host wine tasting available.

The actual Oscars are scheduled for Feb. 24 and will be seen on ABC affiliates.

The event costs $15, and tickets may be purchased here.
