You're Cordially Invited to a Non-event
The Camino Real Playhouse has lost its cool and just came up with a unique fundraiser to get it back.
The is not cool. At all.
In fact it’s hot. And not in a good way.
Apparently, the air-conditioning unit gave as good as she could, and she doesn’t have anything left, according to Tom Scott, the theater’s co-founder.

“It's finally curtains for our air-conditioning system. There will be no further encores for this diehard performer,” Scott said in an e-mailed appeal to friends for help.
As usual, Scott’s got a whole program planned for kids this summer, the Acting Academy for Kids, where kids ages 4-13 learn to act, sing and dance all summer long.

Make that the Sweating Academy for Kids.
So Scott has come up with what he thinks is the ideal fundraiser.
“We will be selling tickets to a non-event,” he said, “where you don't have to dress up, sit through a show, pay a babysitter or park your car. Tickets are only $25 per person with unlimited seating!:”
Scott needs to raise $40,000 between now and June 16.
You can purchase the tickets to this incredible non-event at the playhouse’s website.
