Cockroaches Close Donut Hut on Camino Cap

Orange County health inspectors found cockroaches "in a critical area."

Donut Hut was closed for one day after a county health inspector found cockroaches "in a critical area."

The Camino Capistrano business was also warned of two other major health violations during a routine inspection on Aug. 30. A pitcher of milk on the counter was left at 70 degrees, which is potentially hazardous according to the county health department. Soiled cloths were being stored in bleach water, but there was too little bleach to keep them sanitized, according to the report.

Several minor violations included house flies, dumpsters with lids propped open, missing tiles and no thermometer in the refrigerator.
