San Juan Capistrano may have its first “pop-up” shop in The Prosecco Project – A Pop-Up Boutique at Sami’s Tailoring.
Needah Kavallierou is the brainchild behind The Prosecco Project.
“After finishing my master’s degree in psychology at Chapman University [in] Orange, I was still drawn to my first love: fashion. Over a glass of prosecco, I got some perspective and decided to launch a little pop-up boutique inside a tailor’s, back in my home town of San Juan Capistrano,” Kavallierou said.
She augments local traffic with trading from Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest.
Kavallierou describes her fashion sense as “boho chic.”
“I love to wear dresses that flow with your body, there is something feminine and sexy about that.,” she said. “When I buy from the designers, my philosophy is simple: If I want to wear it, I buy it.”
Among the designers she carries are:
- Rana, an independent designer in Jordan who designs unique bracelets & scarfs for me.
- Derek Heart
- Lip Elixirs: Cocktail Lip Balm (Organic & Independent)
“I often go to the
fashion district in LA and pick up a few tops and accessories as well,” Kavallierou said.
The Prosecco Project is expected to last for five-six months, Kavallierou added. Sami’s Tailoring is at 32301 Camino Capistrano in San Juan Capistrano.
