San Juan Capistrano Trade Show Company Buys out Competitor

A local company jumps into the surf apparel expo industry wholeheartedly.

A San Juan Capistrano-based company that puts on trade shows just bought out the company that puts on the Surf Expo in Orlando, Fla.

Emerald Expositions Inc. – a company created when Canadian company Onex bought out locally based Nielsen Expositions earlier this year – bought George Little Management LLC of White Plains, N.Y. for $335 million, according to California Apparel News.

“This acquisition expands upon our position as a leading trade-show organizer in the United States,” said Emerald’s CEO David Loechner in a statement, the trade publication reported.

Emerald puts on 65 trade shows a year.
