A 1 percent growth rate doesn't sound sexy, until it compounds.

It was a fairly uneventful week on the market, when all was said and done. 

The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 1 percent, and the S&P 500 was up .81 percent.

Then again, 1 percent growth weekly is a 70 percent gain on the year. I wouldn't reject that! If only the markets were steady.
