Head to Dunkin' Donuts today for a reduced-price coffee while supporting a good cause.

Dunkin’ Donuts announced that Wednesday, May 23, is Iced Coffee Day in Rhode Island and Bristol County, MA.

All day, participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants will offer guests a medium (24 oz.) cup of iced coffee for $1. Additionally, a small iced coffee will be reduced to 75 cents and a large will be reduced to $1.50. The proceeds from iced coffee sales that day will be donated to The Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins Community Foundation to benefit Hasbro Children’s Hospital.

There are two Dunkin' Donuts in Portsmouth for customers to choose — 1550 West Main Road and 3001 East Main Road.

"We are thrilled to celebrate the unofficial start of summer with the return of Iced Coffee Day for Hasbro Children’s Hospital for the third year," said Joe Prazeres, Dunkin’ Donuts franchisee, in a press release. "Thanks to our loyal and generous guests, this annual promotion has generated nearly $350,000 for the organization, and we are excited to continue to raise money for a wonderful cause."

The money such fundraisers generates is critical to supporting the hospital, according to Dr. Robert B. Klein, pediatrician-in-chief of Hasbro Children’s Hospital

“A compassionate and comfortable experience in a healing environment is what we strive to provide for each of our young patients,” Klein said. “Dunkin’ Donuts supports our vision and, with this wonderful event, will help us to continue to provide the excellent care our community deserves.”

...and custom house coffee sleeps while this goes on. This is why local business is not always a great example. They could offer their coffee this weekend for the same price but give a portion of it to the same charity has D&D.

A wondeful thing for Dunkin Donuts to do. I love Coffee House too. When I want to sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee, Custom Hiuse is where I go. Keep it the way it is.
