UPDATE: Valinda to Release More Homes

In the first two months of sales, 13 of the first 16 are claimed by future residents of San Juan Capistrano.

UPDATED: The release of the next seven homes has been pushed back to June 16. This story was originally published May 30 and gave a different release date.

With the majority of the first homes sold in , builder Woodbridge Pacific Group will open its next sales release June 16.

Of the first 16 homes built near , 13 are sold, said Todd Cunningham, Woodbridge president. In total, the company plans to build 70 homes priced to sell in the $700,000-$875,000 range. The tract is called Valinda at Rancho San Juan, but it has been known as the Whispering Hills tract for years.

“Buyers are mostly local south county – Ladera, San Juan Capistrano, San Clemente, Laguna Niguel, Aliso Viejo, etc. – with a relo from Washington thrown into the mix,” Cunningham said.

Three open homes have been available for viewing since mid-March. The builder is offering a fourth plan, one with one level. Those curious to see what it looks like can tour one under construction, Cunningham said. It’s about to be drywalled.

“Plan 2 is by far the runaway favorite now that we are open for sale,” he added. Plan 2 is the first open house the public sees, where the sales offices are located.

Seven more homes will be part of the June 16 release.
