Vito's Construction Nearly Complete

Construction workers add finishing touches to the exterior of the newest downtown restaurant.

Construction workers added some final touches Tuesday morning to the exterior of downtown's newest restaurant.

The workers said they were adding molding over the doorway arch that will greet customers upon entering the family-owned Vito's Italian Ristorante.

The restaurant, which is space beneath in the Franciscan Plaza, will serve pastas and pizzas. The restaurant was initially set to  but delays have pushed the opening back by at least a month.

A menu is now available online.

A job fair was held May 23-28, and dining chairs and tables were recently set up. A manager was not immediately available to comment on a new opening date.
