BLOG: Deputy Dog Attends First Ribbon Cutting
A was a dog day in San Juan Capistrano, from VMSG Ribbon Cutting to meeting Juan the Dinosaur!
Well, San Juan Capistrano, last Saturday was quite a busy day in town and a very busy day for me.
Even though I've been the unofficial Deputy Dog since last October, this past Saturday was my very first ribbon cutting. Wow, now I see why everybody likes to go to these events – you get to meet a lot of nice people, you get to give a short speech and you get to eat delicious, free food!!!
Seriously, the doctors and entire staff at were pleasant and thrilled to show off their amazing facility. I could tell all of them have great compassion for my furry friends ... even a great big one named Carlos (I included a picture of him. That's one big boy!).

After the ribbon cutting, I walked around town and took a few pictures of some of San Juan's great places to visit. You can always start at the Visitor Information booth at the train station for some ideas, but a few places that are close to each other in the are the Historical Society located in the , and . There's enough to see at each of these to fill a morning or afternoon.
I'm still trying to get my "doggie-cam" working, so watch for future Patch blogs for some hidden treasures of San Juan you should visit.
