Camino Capistrano Closed Wednesday Night

Caltrans will shut off traffic in both directions at San Juan Creek Road.

Caltrans will shut down both directions of traffic on Camino Capistrano at San Juan Creek tonight for construction.

The road is expected to close at 9 p.m. and may not reopen for as many as four hours, according to an email Caltrans sent the city of San Juan Capistrano.

“The work is being done to extend the K-rail for project traffic control on the south end of Camino Capistrano by about 100 feet,” states a press release from the city. K-rails are temporary concrete traffic barriers.
