Coming Soon! San Juan Capistrano Patch Gets a New Look

Next week, Patch will have a brand-new design and a whole new way to connect.

Hi, everyone! We have some exciting news to share about Patch – we’re getting a whole new look! It’s coming next week and it’s going to make San Juan Capistrano Patch easier to use, and a better place to connect and share. The best part? You’ll be able to see it all on your mobile phone!

Here’s what you need to know:

We’re including more great stories from your neighbors, right on the homepage. So you’ll have all of our local reporting, plus the latest know-how and opinion from local bloggers.

We’re adding Boards to make it easier for you to connect with each other, debate an issue or announce your garage sale, graduation or find a lost pet.

More to say? It will be easier to start your own blog, too. You’ll soon be able to start your own blog anytime, and so you can have a stronger voice in the community - or just share your expertise and opinion. And if you’re already a Local Voices blogger, these tools are much more streamlined and straightforward.

You’ll see all of this (and more) on Patch next week. For a sneak peek, check out Stonington-Mystic Patch.

Every one of the photos above would be great for the new Patch photo.

You know what would be a better improvement is if you let the locals kniw about events before they happened. Ya think.

Hi Davina, We have a very active events calendar maintained by the public and those promoting the events. Patch is participatory. We're not a newspaper. I'm the journalist, but you all keep each other informed about many events and announcements. You'll love the boards section of the new design, too. Until then, you can find the day's events on the front page and scan future events by going here: http://sanjuancapistrano.patch.com/events
