Reader and local artist Art Guevara shared this photo with us. He writes:
When my friends told me about wild turkeys in San Juan Capistrano, I thought they were talking about the Bourbon Whiskey, and I say, "No way, Jose."
So I packed my gear and I went to see if I could find them and see them with my own eyes. After three days, I heard them gobbling. So I prepared my camera, and the rest is history.
I was able to talk the turkeys into posing for me so I can share them with you.
Their location? Cleveland National Forest, San Mateo Trail. Our maps show that fairly east of town, but we'll take it!
