Storm Moves Into San Juan

The storm will drop about an inch of rain in a three-hour period through midnight.

A flash-flood watch is in effect in coastal Orange County communities through Saturday morning.

Rain will grow increasingly intense through about midnight, the National Weather Service reports. The cold, windy storm is expected to drop up to 1 inch of rain in a three-hour period.

The rain will continue throughout the day Saturday, with thunderstorms and hail possible after 10 a.m. Wind gusts will be as high as 30 mph.

After a very cold night Saturday—with temperatures in San Juan Capistrano forecast to dip into the upper 30s—a high-pressure system will bring dry weather and warmer temperatures early next week.
