ABOUT EMILY AND KRISTIE

Kristie and Emily grew up together in San Juan Capistrano and have been friends for more than 30 years (but who’s counting).

We’re mothers of five children between us from toddler to teen, and we feel your pain of trying to be a good wife and mother while still having a life. We bring fun and ideas every week at Patch for things to do, places to go and things moms love in San Juan Capistrano—and some comic relief,  because as moms we need that more than clean laundry!

Kristie is an elementary school teacher and sign language interpreter, doing neither currently for pay, but volunteering her services in both areas and loving it. She is wrapping up her master's degree to become a marriage and family therapist.

Emily is a Libra who enjoys long walks on the beach, candlelit dinners and little fuzzy bunnies. Wait, that’s not it .... She is actually the mother of three, parenting without a license. She's also an experienced bankruptcy attorney with the heart of a teacher. Counseling individuals and family in tough financial times gives her great joy.
