Our family loves the Ghost Train especially when you have an emergency or a need to pick up the kids at school

I loved, repeat loved.... the small town feeling, which seems to be getting ruined day by day. I used to boast that we were a small town with only 3 exits centered around a beautiful Mission, sad to see this all change.

As a lifetime resident of Capo I love most the idea of seeing my friends that I've grown up with & being able to enjoy the scenery & the upcoming Swallows Day festivities with them.

That sounds like a nice date, Leah. Have you tried the VIP theater? Love it!

I am a big fan of Zen Dojos Martial Arts Academy (www.zendojos.com). The training facility is the largest in all of Southern OC. I don't live in San Juan any more, but still commute to train there. I enjoy it so much in fact, I have had the pleasure of teaching Karat there for over 5 years. By far the best Karate studio I am aware of in town. They have been there since 1991, how is that for small business staying power. They have stuck around for a reason! Much Respect Sensei Paul and Sensei Marco!

Or, your family is waiting the extra five minutes for an emergency vehicle to help your loved one, but that emergency vehicle is stuck by the Ghost Train at the crossing and the subsequent train leaving the station.

I agree, the VIP theater is awesome and well worth it !

Your right Jody Anderson, It was a small town feeling back in the early forties, untill it became incorporated. I have lived in San Juan for seventy years, and my family goes back ten generations and most of them are burried at the old Historical Cemetery next to the freeway. Old timers sold their properties to the developers then you saw homes, shopping centers, roads, and what knott, soon you have a population growth, and changes to the community. Their once was a great red brick two story hotel where Zia Jewlery is located now, it took one block and it was a great structure. My Fiancee and myself walk our dogs through out the Los Rios District and we stop at the Hidden Cafe for a drink and a roll then at times we converse with Steve Rios my second cousin. So I completly understand the situation on hand. growing up in San Juan was simple, easy and lots of farm land.

Jody, you are more than welcome to try and purchase land and keep it from "getting ruined".

I love the horses, my neighbors, the library, the Swallow's Day Parade, everyone I run into at Von's....I could go on and on. San Juan is the best!
