Eco Xpo Garden Show May 17-18 at San Juan Capistrano's Los Rios Park

Save the date for the first "Eco Xpo" Garden Show May 17-18 at Los Rios Park in San Juan Capistrano.

The weekend Eco Expo Garden Show is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18 at 31790 Paseo Adelanto in the Historic District of San Juan Capistrano.

Hosted by Goin Native Therapeutic Gardens, Eco Xpo will be south Orange County's first garden show, which will promote beautiful, bountiful and beneficial gardens.

The event is free to the public and will feature demonstration gardens, several expert speakers, activities for children, local produce, edible landscapes, habitat gardens, environmental products and resources and much more.  Several nurseries, garden clubs and vendors from all over will converge at Los Rios Park for a fun-filled weekend that will also encourage people to buy, shop and eat local and support economic development.

Proceeds will benefit the beautification and butterfly habitat of Los Rios Park.

Goin Native Therapeutic Gardens has cared for the California native plants at Los Rios Park since the city built the 6.5-acre park in 2009. The nonprofit organization is committed to providing horticultural education, emotional and physical rehabilitation and practical life skills to people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, while promoting environmental sustainability and saving community resources.
