Maeve McDonough, I can certainly understand your fear of people getting together and speaking freely amongst themselves. I can certainly see how that would be such a threat. I am sure you and Jonathan Volzke will be there with you pistol packing, copy of the permit in hand, counting heads making sure there is not one soul there over fifty people. What a bunch of idiots you are.
Gus Gunderson February 08, 2014 at 12:41 AM
Donna, you had me laughing ver hard!
Maeve Mcdonough February 08, 2014 at 12:47 AM
Please stop the name-calling, Gus. It makes people think less of you.
Donna Fleming February 08, 2014 at 12:52 AM
Gus,,,, It was the first hearty laugh I had all day too. Watch out for the PPP's. It really is amazing to think anyone is pulling picnic permits, to do a head count on PPP's.
Sunshine February 08, 2014 at 12:59 AM
Meave Mcdonough, you wrote, "I have to say again that I object to anyone using dishonest tactics to achieve what they want." Does that mean you object to Councilmen Sam Allevato, Larry Kramer, and John Taylor voting behind closed doors to violate the First Amendment by banning newspapers on all community property in order to shut up a watch dog newspaper? As city council members who took an oath to uphold the constitution of the United States, they failed miserably and with malice of forethought. So, do you object to their despicable act of using dishonest tactics to achieve what they wanted? Do you object to their illegal water bills where they over bill us in order to get more of the residents money so they can fund and maintain that money pit they call the Ground Water Recovery Plant? Just another dishonest tactic to get what the three council majority want. Do you object to that, too? Didn't think so.
Sunshine February 08, 2014 at 01:08 AM
Oh my gosh, Meave! LOL! You need to grow some! Name calling?? Go look at that disgusting libelist Clown flyer your friends sent to every resident in San Juan! When you guys have no arguments, you start crying and turn into whiney victims.
Maeve Mcdonough February 08, 2014 at 01:19 AM
Sunshine, really, how do you make such a leap? Just because I object to the dishonest tactics used to obtain the permit for tomorrow's 'patriot picnic' doesn't automatically mean I am in league with any particular political faction in town. Let's just agree to stick to the facts, shall we?
Sunshine February 08, 2014 at 02:17 AM
Meave, then I guess you don't object to the dishonest tactics from our three council majority leaders. I'm hearing ya.
Maeve Mcdonough February 08, 2014 at 02:21 AM
I have no words to describe how delusional I think you might be. Goodbye and good luck, and have a lovely 'patriots picnic' tomorrow. Hope the whole charade makes you feel better.
Sunshine February 08, 2014 at 02:47 AM
Now Free Speech is a "charade"? Meave, we will have a "lovely patriots picnic" with family, friends , and the American flag waving, unless Sam's cops show up. But, you know, that would be a gift at a Free Speech Picnic!
Maeve Mcdonough February 08, 2014 at 02:54 AM
No one will have a problem with your gathering tomorrow unless you were not honest with your application. Quite the quandary, eh?
Gus Gunderson February 08, 2014 at 06:51 AM
Maeve McDonough, the honest part is quite the quandary for you as you do not use your real name, yet there are no business owners listed with your name with the City.
Maeve Mcdonough February 08, 2014 at 09:47 AM
I didn't say my business was located in San Juan, Gus.
Lint Worthlessness February 08, 2014 at 11:03 AM
We're the t Party! We don't need to follow anybody's stupid rules. If a thousand people turn up at a "private picnic" and destroy a public park, we don't care. we're the t Party! NAZI! NAZI! NAZI!
Gus Gunderson February 08, 2014 at 11:24 AM
Maeve McDonough, it was contained in your 9:47 am comment which you have subsequently deleted from the blog. You can view it the history of your blogs. Nice try.
Beve Semerwohld February 08, 2014 at 12:00 PM
Please be aware, I am the creepy photographer guy and cannot help myself. It is true I live in trailer. You can refer to me as trailer trash, because, well I am the creep photographer guy. Not even my trailer HOA wanted me. I was recalled. That was embarrassing. Recalled from a trailer HOA tells you where I am in life. I tell people I volunteer. But, I actually get paid for it. Yep, tell people you volunteer because you have no job, and then get paid for it. That is trailer living at its best !
Maeve Mcdonough February 08, 2014 at 12:35 PM
Have another cup of coffee, Gus.
Donna Fleming February 08, 2014 at 01:39 PM
I am looking forward to this picnic and talking with neighbors about the issues we blog about. It us unbelievable that anyone would try to squelsh the gathering, count heads, etc. But, this is what the community said in 1938 before Kristalenacht. Hoping the chief of propaganda will not be in attendance.
bbq February 08, 2014 at 04:46 PM
Uh-oh. I can see the history books now - The Great San Juan Riot of '14...
Sunshine February 08, 2014 at 05:25 PM
Uh oh! These Free Speech Picnicers are setting fire to cars down here! Riots in the streets! They're chopping down trees and shooting the swallows! Quick, send Sam's posse!
Steve Behmerwohld February 08, 2014 at 06:01 PM
I stopped by for a few minutes. I was surprised to see the John Birch Society set up there. I didn't even know they still really existed. The only things that were missing was Jim Jones and the Kool-Aid.
Gus Gunderson February 08, 2014 at 06:34 PM
It was obvious when you showed up why you are known around town as the creepy photographer guy.
Sunshine February 09, 2014 at 07:44 PM
Uh oh. Starting to make national news: ***Read more at *** http://www.wnd.com/2014/02/labels-lunatics-and-fringe/#rEE5ES8Tf2YhyDr9.99
Donna Fleming February 15, 2014 at 01:26 PM
Sunshine....no one covered the Free Speech Picnic. Hmmm. Makes me wonder why? Lots of SJC village members were there to sit on the grass and listen to the speakers. Wander the various causes, and talk amongst our selves. I saw someone taking pictures and heard "not a word" on Patch or anywhere. It was certainly news worthy.
Beve Semerwohld February 15, 2014 at 02:14 PM
It was me Donna the creepy photographer guy taking photos. I love to take photos of people and follow them to the point that it creeps them out. I have been known to stake out people's houses and sit in my truck down the street from the house, wait until they come out and follow them. I can't help that I am so damn creepy.
Sunshine February 15, 2014 at 02:20 PM
Now you are giving me the creeps, Beve. Every post you make, you love to bring up your creepy stalker photography skills. There must be some truth in it.
Donna Fleming February 15, 2014 at 02:30 PM
Beve...That's not funny. It is creepy. You are descibing stalking, using a nom de plume, just makes it worse.
Beve Semerwohld February 15, 2014 at 02:33 PM
I am sorry Sunshine that I am so creepy. Did I tell you I was recalled from my trailer park HOA? Who ever gets recalled from their trailer park HOA? Well I did. Then I had to be forcibly removed from the trailer park meeting when I could not accept it. I am just plain creepy. It is tree that I actually get paid when I told people I volunteered to play Santa Claus. I can't even get that straight. The only way I could get people near me was to dress up as Santa Claus.c I am that creepy.
Beve Semerwohld February 15, 2014 at 02:35 PM
I can't help it Donna. That is why I am a creepy photographer. I can't help but stalk and follow people around.
Sunshine February 15, 2014 at 03:26 PM
You definitely are that, Steve, oh, I mean Beve.
