St. Joseph's Day & Return of the Swallows Celebration at Mission San Juan Capistrano

Join us for St. Joseph's Day and the Return of the Swallows Celebration on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Mission San Juan Capistrano. This historic tradition was started by Father O'Sullivan in the 1930's and is carried on today in honor of St. Joseph and the famed return of the swallows to Capistrano.

Festivities include:

  • Ringing of the historic bells
  • Live mariachi music
  • Special Guest Lecture on Cliff Swallows and on Father Serra
  • Mission Basilica School performances
  • San Juan Elementary School performances
  • Flamenco dance performances
  • Traditional California Native American songs, dances and basketweaving
  • History of St. Joseph's Day and Swallows Legend
  • Hands on activities for kids
  • Food vendors, and more!

Admission: $10 Adults, $9 Seniors and $6 for Children.
