USTA Free Play Day This Saturday

During
National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month in September, the USTA and the tennis industry are hosting thousands of USTA Free Tennis Play Events in celebration of the 10th annual Nickelodeon’s Worldwide Day of Play

throughout the country in an effort to get kids active and involved in tennis.

The
USTA is making it easier and more fun for kids to get into the game—and stay in
the game. With tennis now
sized right for age, kids play on shorter courts, with smaller racquets, and
slower, lower-bouncing balls. Kids are able to play tennis made just for them,
so they have a great time with the game and want to keep playing and improving.

The events are free and open to the public, each showcasing how fun and easy it now is for families to get into the
sport, as well as providing a great way for parents to spend time with their
children while keeping them active.
