BLOG: Creating Jobs In and Around San Juan

Have you ever pondered how many people receive a job stimulus by the sale or purchase of one home?

Have you ever pondered how many people receive a job stimulus by the sale or purchase of one home?

Years ago, I recall seeing statistics on the number of jobs the sale of one home creates. I Googled the topic, like an average person; unfortunately I didn't find any recent statistics. In an effort to justify my own thought process, let's briefly touch on the laundry list:

  1. Realtor and support staff to list and market the property
  2. Sign company to install the sign
  3. Photographer to take photos/videos
  4. Web site personnel to create and distribute listing
  5. Newspaper, magazine and print advertisers
  6. Office supply stores for ink, paper, toner, etc.
  7. Second Realtor to represent the buyer(s)
  8. Escrow company and officer to distribute the documents
  9. Title insurance company, officer, rep, and office staff
  10. Bank/lender(s) to fund the loans
  11. Appraiser
  12. Attorneys and accountants
  13. Messengers to deliver documents - yes, i know we have email, but we still need a human document delivery from time to time
  14. Notary to notarize the documents
  15. Handyman/woman or a general contractor to do repairs
  16. Termite inspector and possible repair crew
  17. Mold inspector and possible repair crew
  18. Roof inspector and possible repair crew
  19. Home inspector
  20. Pool and spa inspector and possible repair crew
  21. Land surveyor
  22. Moving company crew
  23. Painting contractor and crew
  24. Landscaper and crew
  25. Cleaning crew for carpet cleaning, window cleaning
  26. New carpet installers
  27. Drivers from nonorofit organizations for donation and recycled items
  28. Interior designers
  29. Furniture suppliers and delivery personnel
  30. Florist and delivery for the "congratulation's flowers" from friends and family
  31. Being San Juan Capistrano, a family with children may want to become involved with horses, so the equestrian element comes into play, i.e. horse stables and trainers, feed and tack suppliers, etc.
  32. Physical therapist and/or masseuse to revive the Realtors, so they can start the process once again

Feel free to add in those entities I missed. Time for me to get back to my profession of facilitating buyers/sellers  and "creating jobs" in my community.
