WEIGH IN: Were This Year's Fireworks an Improvement?

So what did you all think of this year's fireworks show in San Juan Capistrano?

"Best ever! Residents have called city hall to thank the city for the great show," said Mayor Sam Allevato.

From my family's faraway perspective -- we like to watch from Patriot Hill -- it was a big improvement over last year, when the show was paced so poorly, the city demanded -- and got -- a full refund.

Then the City Council bid adieu to Bay Fireworks, which was also responsible for show in Ventura County last year that injured 36 spectators

This year's show was put on by Garden State fireworks at a cost of $30,000, which is picked up by sponsors.
