Ginger Turmeric Tea for you.

I learned how to make this tea when I was on retreat in Southern India.

This tea is what I sipped every morning in Kerala as I watched the sun rise over the India Ocean. It stimulates your digestive fires and with the turmeric, it has properties which serve as an anti-inflammatory and anti-viral.

Fortunately, it's easy to replicate expecially with in the neighborhood. I buy my organic ginger and turmeric root from in San Juan Capistrano.

Simply slice one finger of ginger and one-fourth the amount of turmeric into thin, twig-like pegs. Place roots in two cups of filter water and bring to a boil.

Once boiling, reduce to a simmer for about 20 minutes covered. Cool to drink, add local organic honey to sweeten.
