To my supporters, friends and family,

Find out what's happening in San Juan Capistranowith free, real-time updates from Patch.

These are trying times to be a concerned voter and City Council candidate in San Juan Capistrano.

My candidacy has always been about having a council that represents both the residents and business interests in our community. My decision to run was in large part inspired by the investigative reporting on water rates, traffic and city debt done by Dr. Roy Brynes and Kim McCarthy in the Capistrano Comon Sense.

I am now firmly convinced that it is imperative for reform candidates to take BOTH open seats in order to secure the voting majority needed (including Councilman Dereck Reeves) to restore common sense governance in our town.

I have therefore decided to join forces with the front running slate of Kim McCarthy and Dr. Roy Brynes. WE ARE ON THE SAME TEAM. I am confident as council members they will improve the quality of life and fiscal discipline in San Juan Capistrano.

It's going to take a sustained concerted effort over the long haul by all of us to turn this town around. I and my family intend to be involved over the long haul as have been Kim McCarthy and Dr. Roy Byrnes. They deserve our help!

I am truly grateful for your words of encouragement and support.

Sincerely,

Melissa
