After paying themselves $13 Million in increased compensation CUSD is telling parents that due to budgetary constraints- CUSD does not have the money to restore our school year to 180 days- Children in elementary school will have 2 Instructional Furloughs and 2 "Pupil Free Days"(not much of an improvement over five furlough days last year)

Holy crud....give it up Dawn. It seems like the only way you can truly believe your own drivel is to repost it over and over AND OVER again. Good luck with that.

In Response to Dan- No I am not OK. I am very sad for our children. If we can not restore our school year to 180 days with all the new revenue this year (passage of Prop 30 and an additional $8 million in LCFF) then what do we have to look forward to going forward? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Our Trustees have failed our students. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ If there is also no rule of law to protect the interest of our students then I am very worried about the future of Public Education and the future of our students. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ District Staff, Superintendent Farley and Employee Groups intentionally conspired to delayed the execution of their employment contracts for the purpose of including new funding so that they could claim that triggers had been met which required the District to Restore employee compensation. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Had the employment contracts been negotiated in good faith prior to June 30, 2013- restoration would not have been triggered and our children would have their school year restored to 180 days. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Process was dishonest and the result was the unjust enrichment of employees at the expense of our children. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ PS- Dan I was not having a conversation with myself- I was trying to make points that were easier to read then one long paragraph.
