Could CUSD loose $17 million in Federal Funding?

The Federal Government is threatening to withhold Federal Funds from California Public Schools if Assembly Bill 484 becomes law. 

The California Bill eliminates STAR testing while schools transition to computer-based assessments aligned to the New Common Core curriculum. 

What this means for parents and the public is that there will be no annual release of testing data - therefore no accountability or means of measuring student achievement.
