Yesterday, I received a piece of mail, that can only be described as a "hit piece" with the intent to disuade voters from supporting Sam Allevato and Ginny Kerr.
At the bottom of the piece, it stated that it was "paid for by Citizens for Sensible Development, 31103 Rancho Viejo #D2-209, SJC 92675.
While I resigned from that loosely formed group (in December of 2010) comprised of citizens that opposed the plans for the Distrito/Meadows Projects, I was, indeed, the person that registered the URL "citizensforsensibledevelopment.com." (If you search that information out, on various internet search venues, you would find this to be public information.)
Please let me take this opportunity to state for the record, I had no idea that I was still associated with that URL in any way. (I thought it had expired. Turns out, it expires Nov. 12.) I have contacted Network Solutions, to terminate the URL, and to hopefully delete my association with it in any way, shape or form.
To my knowledge, I do not know of any people from that original group, acting in concert in any way, and that "Citizens for Sensible Development," as the group was loosely known as well over two years ago, had nothing to do with that mailer.
Obviously, somebody has commandeered "Citizens for Sensibel Development" and used that name without permission of the larger group.
Thank you,
Mike Johnson (not the attorney Mike Johnson, the other one :-)
