Parade makes my 86 year old mother have to walk 2 miles after getting off train

Serious?  No way to pick up someone from train? Police are no help, just move and have to park 2 miles away. So anytime we take the train we need to check the city is not having an event? Should be a law that even cities can't block transportation. They should set up shuttle or something. It was not an easy walk. Not to mention my wife had to walk 2 miles to station to get her and 2 miles back.

My research shows that Los rios was open. So was the Laguna Niguel train station and San Clemente train station.

Is it really two miles from the San Juan train station in order to see the parade?

A little pre-planning could have solved this problem. Walking across the tracks and out toward the Los Rios area would have been a shorter walk. Possibly picking up folks near Ito's nursery. Just a thought for next time.

All you have to do is walk a short block up Verdugo St. & you're on Camino Capistrano.
