UPDATED: 2nd Suspect Pleads 'Not Guilty' to Accessory in 2010 Slaying

Kenny Roy Kraft, 34, of Laguna Niguel, is accused of being an accessory to murder in the San Juan Capistrano slaying of Christopher Ryan Smith.

The personal assistant to a murder suspect pleaded not guilty Tuesday to an accessory charge for allegedly , City News Service reports. 

Kenny Roy Kraft, 34, of Laguna Niguel, was arraigned on a felony count of being an accessory to the murder of Christopher Ryan Smith, 32, of Laguna Beach. According to a court clerk, Kraft's bail was set at $250,000, and his next court date is Sept. 8.

Irvine resident Edward Younghoon Shin has been charged with murder in Smith's slaying in a suite in the Westcore Executive Center on Rancho Viejo Road in San Juan Capistrano. Authorities allege that Shin, 33, killed Smith—his business partner—for money, then "went to great lengths" to cover it up. 

According to the Sheriff's Department, Kraft helped Shin get rid of the victim's personal belongings, including Smith's car, a 2009 white Range Rover recovered recently by investigators in San Jose.
