Animals Are Shot at, Fraud Is Alleged, and a Drug Test Is Ditched
Here are various reports pulled from the San Juan Capistrano police dispatch log over the past few days.
At 5:32 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a disturbance near the Via Limon and Via Buena Vista intersection. Two men riding in the bed of a blue Toyota pickup truck were shooting a high-powered pellet rifle at animals. There was no report of an arrest.
At 1:07 p.m. Saturday, a disturbance was reported in the 27500 block of Avenida Larga. Two roommates were in an argument because the one who rents a room was believed to be smoking medical marijuana without a license. The other roommate also reported being a medical marijuana patient but did not like his tenant smoking without a prescription.
At 9:43 a.m. Saturday, a caller reported a suspicious person in a vehicle near the Calle Rio and Alipaz Street intersection. There was a large trailer parked on the street dripping sewage while it was hooked up to power lines and had people living in it.

At 4:20 p.m. Friday, a caller reported a suspicious person in the 31900 block of Camino Capistrano. A man in his 60s urinating and touching himself inappropriately on the north side of Cafe Adobe. There was no report of an arrest.
At 1:58 p.m. Friday, police assisted an outside agency in the 26500 block of Paseo Santa Clara. Police assisted the fire department with gathering evidence at the scene of an extinguished structure fire.

At 6:41 a.m. Friday, police investigated a report of a "person down" near the Rancho Viejo Road and Spotted Bull intersection. A man was sleeping in a sleeping bag with his feet dangling into traffic from the sidewalk.
At 8:04 p.m. Thursday, police were dispatched to investigate a report of a dead body in the 26400 block of La Zanja street. Police reported that a man who suffered from heart problems was obviously dead, as his face was purple and the body had rigor mortis. The Orange County Fire Authority was called to respond.
At 10:21 a.m. Thursday, a 47-year-old woman was arrested in the first block of Via Positiva. The woman had allegedly violated a court order by trying to pick up her daughter at the Boys and Girls Club of Capistrano Valley. The woman was allegedly becoming violent with staffers as they attempted to take her off the premises. She was taken into custody and posted bail of $15,000.
At 4:49 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported an incident of fraud in the 32300 block of Camino Capistrano. A woman attempted to use a fraudulent or stolen insurance card at the Ross Medical Group. Police made no report of an arrest.
At 3:37 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a disturbance near Camino Capistrano and Junipero Serra Road. A woman said her daughter ran out of the car when the girl discovered she was being taken for drug testing. According to the report, police found the girl and transported her back to the mother.
