Blue Van Parks, Stays for Two Months

These are selected reports from the San Juan Capistrano Police Dispatch Services log throughout the past few days. The calls represent what was told to a sheriff's deputy in the field by the radio dispatcher. No presumption of criminal guilt or affiliation should be drawn from the information provided.

At 2:22 p.m. Saturday, the sheriff’s department received a call about a blue Jeep going off-roading near Via La Jolla and Avenida California.

At 12:14 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported a reckless driver on Ortega Highway at the I-5 Freeway. According to the report, the driver, in a gold Dodge Ram extended cab pickup, was swerving in and out of traffic on the freeway and crossed several lanes abruptly before exiting at Ortega. There was no record that deputies found the driver.

At 9:18 a.m. Saturday, someone reported vandalism in the 33100 block of Camino Capistrano. The caller found a broken window at a business.

At 11:01 p.m. Friday, a caller, who asked to remain anonymous, reported a loud music coming from a house on Andres Pico Road near Ysidora Street.

At 1:32 p.m. Friday, someone called to complain about an abandoned car near the intersection of Via Capri and Paseo Alondra. The caller said a blue van had been parked on private property for more than two months.

At 7:56 a.m. Friday, an informant called in a disturbance in a parking lot near the Del Obispo Street-Plaza Drive intersection. Reportedly, two women – one in a black Honda – were involved in a verbal argument.
