Caller Sees a Mysterious Box Marked 'Ammo'

SHERIFF'S BLOTTER: Also, an arrest, a father loses his daughter in the middle of Christmas shopping madness and a really obnoxious RV.

At 11:06 a.m. Monday, Dec. 23, deputies received a call about a traffic hazard at Paseo del Puerto and Avenida California. A caller said a silver or gray Honda and a Toyota sedan were parked in a no-parking zone. Inside the Toyota was a box marked “ammo.”

At 1:13 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, a disturbance was reported in the 27300 block of Via Priorato. Deputies arrived and arrested a 20-year-old male. A female victim was transported back home.

At 11:19 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, a father lost his daughter at a store in the 33900 block of Doheny Park Road. Deputies met the manager at the front of the store and conducted a walk-through. The child was returned to her father.

At 3:49 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, the first of two calls came in about an RV that was blocking visibility to drivers on Camino La Ronda near La Novia Avenue. The RV was ticketed and towed within the hour.
