At 9:23 p.m. Friday Oct. 27, someone reported a suspicious person
near the cross streets of Via Entrada and Via Lantana. The caller believed a
man in a red pickup truck was stealing bags of cement and hiding them under a
tarp in the back of the vehicle. When deputies contacted the informant again,
the caller said he could not see the vehicle anymore.
At 9:09 a.m. Friday Oct. 27, a caller reported a suspicious
person in the 31200 block of Paseo Olivos. A woman and a child were rummaging
through local trashcans.
At 11:41 p.m. Friday Oct. 27, a worried caller told deputies
about battery in the 31700 block of Camino Capistrano. A victim who had just
been beaten was lying near Historic Town Center Park.
At 3:22 p.m. Saturday Oct. 28, someone reported a traffic hazard near
the cross streets of Valle and San Juan Creek Road. A truck had accidentally
dropped cement blocks in the middle of the road. No word whether this was related to the possible stolen cement reported above.
