Drugs, Alcohol and Suspicious People

Here are various reports pulled from the San Juan Capistrano Police Services dispatch log over the past few days. The calls represent what was told to a sheriff's deputy in the field by the radio dispatcher. The true nature of an incident often differs.

At 9:58 p.m. Sunday in the 32200 block Paseo Carolina, a caller reported  two 15-year-old girls smoking and in a physical fight. No weapon or further details were reported.

At 10:14 p.m. Saturday in the 31800 block of Camino Capistrano, a caller reported a man chasing a woman into El Adobe Restaurant and headed toward the train station.

At 1:55 p.m. Saturday in the 28700 block of Calle Posada, a caller reported hearing three separate gun shots within 10 minutes in the San Juan Creek area. No further details were reported.

At 12:41 p.m. Saturday in the 30200 block at Camino Capistrano, a caller reported a suspect wearing a light colored shirt, camouflage shorts and a black visor heading south on Camino Capistrano with a backpack full of stolen fruit from RPS Farm.

At 12:43 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of San Juan Creek and Valle roads, a caller reported that she was by another woman at the horse corrals. The caller could not give an exact location. No further details were reported.

At 10:40 a.m. Saturday in the 31400 block at Camino Capistrano, a young child pretended to be an answering machine and then mumbled about bad guys. He asked deupties to call him back. No further details were reported.

At 5:08 p.m. Friday in the 31300 block on Los Rios Street, a caller reported six men and two women approximately 30 to 40 years old drinking alcohol and smoking methamphetamines in a resident's garage. 

At 3:23 p.m. Thursday in the 32300 block Alipaz Street, a caller reported being upset with her daughters. The caller dropped the phone, one of the daughters picked up and said she was irate because they cleaned up her garden and removed an overgrown tree.

At 10:36 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Ortega Highway and Rancho Viejo Road, a caller reported an unknown number of suspicious persons hop over a fence with flashlights and head toward the old mansion next to the Capistrano Inn.

At 8:59 p.m. Wednesday at La Novia Avenue and Via Entrada, a caller reported a person pounding on the caller’s vehicle and drove off in a rage in a gray truck into a residential neighborhood.
